THREE to launch on 9 February 2003
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
THREE - the new digital channel that will replace ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Choice - will
launch on Sunday 9 February 2003.
Stuart
Murphy, the Controller of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Choice, confirmed the date to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
staff.
He
said: "Our research shows that Sunday is a key night for our
audience and so we have decided to launch on Sunday 9 February.
"This
is only three months away, and there is a lot to do on finalising
the schedule for the channel, but we are really excited that ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
THREE will be on air so soon.
"Any
channel that brings together comedian Dom Joly and a scientist like
Dr John Marsden should stand apart in the multi-channel world."
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
THREE will be a digital channel aimed at young adults, with a rich
mixed contemporary schedule.
It
will bring the best in new entertainment, comedy, contemporary drama
and music to this young adult audience.
Enshrined
in its multi-genre, public service remit is a strong commitment
to Factual, News, Current Affairs, Science, Business and Ethics.
