Two new additions to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport's racing stable


ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport today announced two new additions to its television racing stable. Rishi Persad and Ian Bartlett will join the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ racing team in the coming weeks.


Currently to be seen on the Attheraces channel, Rishi will be joining the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ team in late April in a presentational and reporting role.


Ian Bartlett, who has worked with Sky television, the Racing channel and for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Five Live, will join the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s commentary team for the meeting from Ascot on 29 March.


Announcing the new members of the team, Barbara Slater, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Head of General Sport said: "We're delighted to announce these two appointments, which we feel will complement our existing racing line-up.


"Both Rishi and Ian bring an immense amount of knowledge and experience with them and their appointment will further strengthen our commitment to quality racing coverage."


Rishi Persad said: "I'm delighted to join such an internationally recognised broadcaster as the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ and look forward to working with such established names as Clare Balding on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s racing coverage."


Rishi will continue to work for Attheraces alongside his new role at ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport.


Brad Higgins, Attheraces Director of Programming said: "Having given Rishi Persad his big break, Attheraces is delighted that ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport has now recognised Rishi's talent, energy and vigour. Rishi will continue to be an important part of the Attheraces team and we wish him all the best."


All the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s digital services are now available on , the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well as on satellite and cable.

Freeview offers the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s eight television channels, interactive services from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i, as well as 11 ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ radio networks.
