أغر؟´«أ½ Hausa extends its programming for special coverage of Nigeria's elections


أغر؟´«أ½ Hausa will extend its regular programming to bring live broadcasts of Nigeria's parliamentary elections tomorrow (Saturday 12 April) and the presidential elections on Saturday 19 April.


Presenters Umar Yusuf Karaye and Hindu Waziri, based in Abuja to cover the elections, will keep listeners up-to-date with events as they unfold.


The programmes will also be peppered with reports and updates from أغر؟´«أ½ correspondents throughout Nigeria and listeners will have the opportunity to put their views across by text messaging +44 778 620 2009.


Isa Abba Adamu, Editor of the أغر؟´«أ½ Hausa Service, said: "The elections are very important to Nigerians.


"أغر؟´«أ½ Hausa will give comprehensive coverage of this important stage with up-to-the-minute reports, analyses and interviews and listeners will be given the opportunity to air their views."


The extended transmission times are 05.00آ–06.00, 13.30آ–14.30 and 19.30-20.30 GMT.
