England's
highest profile cricketer, Phil Tufnell, has been given an extended
role for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Five Live this summer.
He

as well as the major county games.
Tufnell,
who was recently crowned "King of the Jungle" in the reality
TV show, I'm a CelebrityÂ…Get me out of here!, was part of Five
Live's successful commentary team for the World cup in South Africa
earlier this year, and provided punditry on Five Live Drive during
the last Ashes tour.
He
will be a central figure in the summer schedules for the station,
which recorded listening figures of 6.45 million listeners in the
latest RAJAR figures.
From
next month Tuffers will present his own programme on a Friday evening,
Phil Tufnell's Cricket Circus, within the popular Sport on
Five show on Five Live.
Phil

of the pioneering evening Twenty20 Cup matches that will start on
13 June.
He
will be a pundit on Five Live Drive and will be a regular contributor
to Simon Mayo's Sports Panel throughout the summer and beyond.
Phil
Tufnell said: "It's great to be back on the air at Five Live,
and to have a new role with my own programme.
"I'm
really looking forward to an exciting summer of cricket and to being
part of the Five Live team."
Bob
Shennan, Controller of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Five Live, said: "We are delighted
to reacquaint ourselves with Phil and to see him in an exciting
new role on the station.
"As
possibly Britain's best known cricketer, Phil has massive appeal
across our existing audience and beyond.
"He
will be a big part of our cricket coverage."
The
Middlesex left-armed bowler made his England Test debut in 1990
against Australia in Melbourne and made the last of his 42 test
