The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ announced today that the contract to produce the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s darts coverage has been awarded to independent production company TWI.

The initial contract will be for one year, covering the forthcoming Winmau World Masters (November 2003) and the World Professional Darts Championships in January 2004.

The tender for the darts contract was announced earlier this year.

"It's a sport with much potential, and I'm confident that TWI will build on the success of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport's recent coverage."

Graham Fry, TWI Head of Production, said: "TWI is looking forward to building on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s excellent coverage by introducing entertaining and compelling new elements to the programming that will appeal to existing fans and attract new audiences to the sport of darts."

All the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s digital services are now available on , the new free-to-view digital terrestrial television service, as well as on satellite and cable.

Freeview offers the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s eight television channels, interactive services from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i, as well as 11 national ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ radio networks.
