Poll suggests nearly half believe Labour stand a better chance at next election if Blair not leader


In an exclusive NOP poll for today's ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO Daily Politics programme, 46 per cent of those asked thought Labour would stand a better chance at the next General Election if Tony Blair was not the party leader.


41% disagreed with the statement.


More than two-thirds of respondents thought increased taxes were not making a "real impact in improving public services".


The poll will feature in Daily Politics on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO today (Tuesday 30 September), 11.30am-1.00pm and 2.00-4.00pm.


Of those surveyed, 29% agreed that Tony Blair would make the best Prime Minister following the next General Election, whereas 60% disagreed.
