ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport announces expert Euro 2004 line up


ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport today announces the team presenting live coverage from the Euro 2004 Championships in Portugal, beginning Saturday 12 June.

Match of the Day presenter and former England captain Gary Lineker heads up the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TV team and will present all the coverage of Euro 2004 games on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, live from each ground.

Joining Gary in the studio will be Alan Hansen, Peter Schmeichel, Ian Wright, Peter Reid, Steve Bruce and Jamie Redknapp. Other studio guests are to be announced.

John Motson, Barry Davies and Steve Wilson will lead the commentary team, with co-commentary from Mark Lawrenson, Mick McCarthy, Joe Royle and Mark Bright.

After live 5.00pm games, Ray Stubbs hosts an interactive forum on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i and bbc.co.uk, and after live 7.45pm kick-offs Mark Bright will host an interactive 606 forum live on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½i, bbc.co.uk and Radio Five Live.

And, bringing viewers all the news from the championships will be the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s team of roving reporters – Garth Crooks, Damian Johnson, Hazel Irvine, Dominic Cotton and Ivan Gaskell.

Radio Five Live coverage will be presented by Sport on Five's Mark Pougatch with an expert team of match commentators – Mike Ingham, Alan Green, Jonathan Pearce, Simon Brotherton, John Murray, Ian Brown and Conor McNamara.

Co-commentating for Five Live will be a range of experts: Terry Butcher, Graham Taylor, Chris Waddle, Jimmy Armfield, Gordon Strachan, Alan Curbishley and Gavin Peacock.

Roving sports reporters will be Nigel Adderly, Ian Dennis, Alistair Yeomans, Richard Burgess and Charlotte Nichol with news reporters Peter Allen, Gordon Farquhar and Jim Harrington.

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Sport team also announced today the choice of music for the opening credits sequence of television coverage.

Ìý

A special edit of Basement Jaxx's Good Luck will accompany the opening of Euro 2004 coverage.
