Channel 4 today announced
that its new Chief Executive is to be Andy Duncan, currently the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s
Director of Marketing, Communications & Audiences.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Director-General Mark Thompson said: "Andy Duncan has transformed
the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s marketing and the organisation's attitude to audiences.

"He has played a pivotal role in the success of Freeview and in
developing the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s digital strategy.

"We are sorry to see him go but this is a very imaginative appointment.
Ìý
"The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ supports a strong and dynamic Channel 4 and we wish Andy
well in his new role."
