won four awards at Prix Italia, held in Catania, Sicily.

The Corporation was awarded two out of three awards
in both the Television and Radio categories.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO's film Eroica was awarded the Performing Arts Programme
Award for its dramatisation of the genesis of Beethoven's masterpiece
Symphony No.3, the Eroica.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ FOUR scooped Best Cultural and General Interest
Documentary prize for Arena: The Life and Times of Count Luchino
Visconti.

The quality of Radio 3 programming was recognised in
two categories - Best Adapted Drama for M and best composed work
for Between The Ears – A Pebble In the Pond, a radiophonic
meditation on memory.
Prix Italia was founded by the Italian public service channel RAI in
1948.
Ìý
It is the oldest of the major international broadcasting
festivals with a membership of 80 public and private radio and television
companies representing more than 40 countries from the five continents.
Ìý
Originally a radio festival, the Prix Italia awards
prizes for the best drama, documentary and music & arts across radio,
television and the web.
