The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Natural
History Unit is today celebrating a hugely successful year after picking
up seven Panda Awards at the 2004 Wildscreen Festival held in Bristol.
Wildscreen – an annual gathering of international wildlife filmmakers
- is the world's biggest festival of moving images from the natural
world.
Ìý
This year, the event attracted a record 406 entries
from 41 countries.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ picked up seven of the 20 Panda Awards, including the Children's
Choice Award, the Granada Award for Animal Behaviour and the ARKive
Interactive Award.
Ìý
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO and OSF Productions also collected the prestigious

Natural World showcases some of the leading wildlife film-makers from
around the world.
Ìý
The strand has picked up countless awards since it was
first broadcast in 1983 and is starting a new run on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO at 8.00pm

Head of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Natural History Unit, Neil Nightingale, says: "These
awards are a wonderful recognition from our peers.

"Wildlife television is an internationally popular
and competitive genre, where the high standard of film-making is continually
raising the bar.

alongside the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ to produce compelling, top-notch television.

the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Natural History Unit has been setting new benchmarks in creativity
