Javine singing Touch My Fire was tonight voted by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE Eurovision: Making Your Mind Up viewers to represent the UK at Eurovision 2005.

The winning song was written and composed by Javine and John Themis.

More than one million viewers decided that Javine will go to the Ukraine to represent the nation on 21 May.

The total votes cast were more than three times the amount last year.

The voting method for this year's programme followed the classic Eurovision point system involving seven regions of the UK.

Each region was represented by a special celebrity guest - James Fox for Wales; Fearne Cotton for South East England; Justin Ryan and Colin McAllister for Scotland; Zoe Salmon for Northern Ireland; Stuart Hall for North of England; Denise Lewis for the English Midlands; and Sharron Davies for South West England.

The Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE on Saturday 21 May.
