The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s iCan website, which helps people get involved in their neighbourhood, will have a new look and name this week as it becomes Action Network - .
Ìý
The site has been fully re-designed, to make it faster, simple and more intuitive to use.
Ìý
New features include: a one-stop shop for local information - enabling users to see in one place notices and events from other users together with local campaigns and articles and information about democratic representatives; the ability for users to recommend organisations active in civic life and to add links to useful websites.

Martin Vogel, Action Network Project Leader, says: "The new look and feel for Action Network makes the site easier to use and the name change will give a clearer indication to the users what the site offers.
Ìý
"What hasn't changed is the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s impartial role, providing a neutral platform to help anyone in the UK become more involved in local civic and democratic activities.
Ìý
"We hope the changes and the new name will help make Action Network a compelling place to visit and help people take action on the issues that matter to them."
Ìý
The site was launched in 2003 as a resource to help people take first steps in getting involved in civic life.
Ìý
It offers tools to get started and information across a broad spectrum of interests, from starting a campaign for a pelican crossing to resources on animal testing and ID cards.
