Chris Evans to present weekend show on Radio 2

Chris Evans today signed a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 2 contract on stage at the Radio Festival in Edinburgh where he was in conversation with Five Live presenter and former Radio 1 Controller Matthew Bannister.

Chris joins Radio 2 in September to present a weekly Saturday show from 2.00 to 5.00pm.
Ìý
Dermot O'Leary, who currently broadcasts on Saturday afternoons, remains with the network. Further details of schedule changes will be announced nearer the time.

Lesley Douglas, Controller, Radio 2, says: "Chris is one of the UK's most innovative broadcasters and I'm delighted that he's joining Radio 2's roster of first class presenters to host this weekend show."
