A new show celebrating jazz, soul and the blues launches on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds this autumn.

The show, The Live Lounge, will be broadcast from 7.00pm on Monday evenings starting 5 September and will be presented by jazz and soul singer Sally Fairfax.

Producer Paul Smith said: "The show should be very atmospheric as we will be coming live from a jazz café bar in Leeds which is a really cool and credible venue.

"Sally is a young classically trained singer with great credentials on the jazz, soul and blues circuit and she will be playing some fantastic music as well as interviewing musicians, doing gig previews and inviting the audience to participate."

Hull-born Sally is a radio producer at ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Yorkshire and lives in Leeds.
Ìý
She sings with jazz duos and trios around Yorkshire as well as organising European tours for local jazz bands.
Ìý
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Leeds is broadcast on 92.4 FM, 774 AM and Digital Radio.
