Nottingham-East Midlands Airport passengers don't just have a holiday to look forward to on Friday (18 November) - Pudsey Bear and the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ East Midlands team is taking over the departure hall to give them a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children in Need night to remember.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children in Need 2005 coincides with the 40th anniversary of Nottingham-East Midlands Airport and celebrates with a night of fun, frolics and fundraising.

Entertainment includes The Choir Boys live via satellite from Southwell Minster, performing their tip for the Christmas number one, Tears In Heaven.
Ìý
There's a gospel choir, steel band, the Derbyshire teenage group Forgotten and Loughborough University Tuxedo Swing Orchestra.
Ìý
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ East Midlands Today's Anne Davies joins TV presenter Richard Arnold along with Pudsey on stage.
Ìý
Anne and Richard keep viewers up to date with the regional fund-raising total and highlight some of the day's best fund-raising around the East Midlands.
Ìý
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Derby bus is on hand to help people discover more about the internet and there's a mascot race featuring Pudsey and other sporting mascots from around the area.

Anne Davies says: "ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children in Need is my favourite time and this year looks like being better than ever before.

"Not only are we at Nottingham-East Midlands Airport with live bands and singers and children and all the wonderful wacky folk who do so much to raise money - but we also have special permission from air traffic control to stage a huge firework display - something that's never been done there before.

"It's like Christmas coming several weeks early for all of us involved on the night."

Late and Live from the Lounge

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Local Radio in the Midlands' Rob Underwood is also presenting his Late Show from 9.00pm to midnight from the airport lounge.

Robs says: "I'm really looking forward to taking the programme on the road and getting involved with the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children in Need fund-raisers as the programme reaches new heights."

Rob's programme is broadcast on all seven ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Local Radio stations in the Midlands each week night.
