ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ THREE has commissioned a pilot factual show from Kalel Productions based around how to survive any potential disaster that life throws at you - from escaping a car sinking in water to delivering a baby in a taxi.

Ìý

Called Worst Case Scenario, the commission follows ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ THREE's new Indies initiative, the aim of which is to work with new talent by bringing companies of under a year old into the channel.

Ìý

Former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ THREE Controller Stuart Murphy and Independents Executive Krishan Arora hosted a briefing day on 14 October for fledgling independent production companies.

Ìý

They were then given a fortnight to pitch innovative programme ideas, which were subsequently considered by entertainment, factual and comedy commissioners.

Ìý

"Worst Case Scenario is a really exciting idea that lends itself to a distinctive visual execution," says Damian Kavanagh, acting Controller of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ THREE.

Ìý

The pilot is commissioned via Ben Gale, Executive Producer (Independents) in ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Factual Commissioning.

Ìý

Kalel Productions is headed by Nick Parnes and Hannah Cantor.
