Schoolgirl throws down gauntlet to Charles Clarke

A schoolgirl from Norwich who challenged ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Secretary Charles Clarke MP to a debate will face him live on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Norfolk tomorrow.

Eleven-year-old Miriam threw down the gauntlet to the Norwich South MP during an interview with Radio Norfolk's Stephen Bumfrey.

Ìý

Stephen had been talking to her about her selection as a prospective candidate for the UK Youth Parliament.

Ìý

Charles Clarke rose to the challenge and agreed to meet Miriam to debate her political ideas live on Radio Norfolk.

Ìý

Miriam stood as a candidate to the UK Youth parliament this year. She was one of the youngest candidates on the list.
