Radio 4 to launch The Memory
Experience
This summer the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ launches The
Memory Experience, its first cross-media science
season to explore the fascinating world of memory, on radio,
television and the web.

Launching on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4 on
Saturday 22 July, The Memory Experience will be the network's largest season
this year, encompassing science, documentary, drama and history.
Ìý
In mid-August ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
ONE picks
up the mantel with an interactive 90-minute special - How
to Improve your Memory.
Ìý
Underpinning both the radio and television output is
a comprehensive website that goes live today.
Ìý
At bbc.co.uk/memory, visitors
can explore and test their own memories with a number of specially commissioned
challenges designed by the world's leading memory experts.
Ìý
As well as providing
personal feedback to the individual, the website will also feed in valuable
data to a number of on-going scientific research projects.
Ìý
Professor Robert Logie at the University of Edinburgh will be
using the data to ascertain how memory is affected by lifestyle, location, age
and sex. The results of this will form part of in the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE show How to Improve
your Memory.
