Richard Deverell, Controller, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children's, today announced the appointment of Damian Kavanagh, Head of Planning and Scheduling for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ THREE, as Independent Commissioning Executive and Head of Scheduling, CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ and CBeebies.

In this joint role, he will work closely with Anne Gilchrist, Creative Director, CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½, in developing and overseeing content from the independent sector.

Damian will also be responsible for scheduling two digital channels, CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ and CBeebies, as well as for children's output on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
ONE and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO. He will take an active role in developing formulating the content and brand strategy for CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.

Damian joined ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Channel Management in 1997 where he has held various roles including Scheduler for the former ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CHOICE and Schedule Manager, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE. He has been Head of Planning and Scheduling for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ THREE since 2004.
