First anniversary of 7 July London bombings - ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ coverage

The national two-minute silence at noon tomorrow (Friday) to mark the first anniversary of the 7 July bombings in London will be reflected on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ services and programmes.

Ìý

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News and Current Affairs will mark the anniversary of the bomb attacks in London with coverage on television, radio and online.

Ìý

Breakfast will be extended on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE until 10.00am and simulcast with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News 24.

Ìý

There will be a News 24 special on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE from 11.55am to 12.05pm which incorporates the nationwide two-minute silence.

Ìý

The CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ channel will also observe the silence.

Ìý

Later, Natasha Kaplinsky will co-present the Six O'Clock News (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE and News 24) from Regents Park and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ London will be broadcast live from the same area.

Ìý

The evening commemorative event from Regents Park will be available in full from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ News 24 and there will be coverage of the day's events on the Ten O'Clock News and on Newsnight.

Ìý

All ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio networks will be observing the two-minute silence and radio news programmes will reflect the anniversary in different ways during the day including live elements, interviews and outside broadcasts.

Ìý

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 1's Newsbeat at 12.45pm will be presented by Georgina Bowmanfrom Tavistock Square.

Ìý

The first hour of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show focuses on 7 July remembrance.

Ìý

bbc.co.uk/news will have a number of analysis pieces, an in-depth special section and interviews with survivors.

Ìý

There will also be programmes looking at the effect of the attacks on survivors and relatives of the victims.

Ìý

On ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4, Coming out of the Tunnel (Thursday 6 July, 8.00pm) follows the personal stories of three people caught up in the bomb attacks.

Ìý

In ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE's Real Story: Terror on the Number 30 (Friday 7 July, 7.30pm), Fiona Bruce speaks to survivors of the bus bombing, and follows the relatives of the murdered victims who are still searching to find why their loved ones died.

Ìý

That Summer Day, a drama commissioned by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Children's from Hat Trick Productions, is inspired by the events of 7 July 2005 told through the unique perspective of children. The drama is on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO and the CÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ channel on Friday 7 July at 4.30pm.
