Nicholas Lyndhurst, Celia Imrie and Dani Harmer head up the impressive cast for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE's new sitcom After You've Gone which is written and created by Fred Barron, the creator of My Family.
Ìý
The series has been commissioned from the raft of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE pilots announced by Peter Fincham, Controller, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE, and Lucy Lumsden, Controller, Comedy Commissioning, earlier this year.
Ìý
The series centres around Jimmy Venible (played by Nicholas Lyndhurst), a jack-of-all-trades who is probably the only man in Britain who gets divorced and ends up with his mother-in-law.
Ìý
The father of two moves back into the marital home
to look after his children after his wife decides to take her nursing
skills to a Third World natural disaster. The only problem for Jimmy
is that his mother-in-law (played by Celia Imrie) decides she's going
to help him.
Ìý
Add to this a daughter (played by Traci Beaker's Dani Harmer) who's sure she's already a woman and a son who dresses like one, and you get a sense of the challenges Jimmy faces as he tries to be a real father on a daily basis.
Ìý
The series was developed and will be executive produced by Kenton Allen, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Creative Head of Comedy Talent and Comedy North, directed by Tony Dow (Only Fools and Horses) and produced by Rosemary McGowan (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Again).
