Mark O'Donnell is joining ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½
Radio Swindon to dish up a new daily breakfast show.
Ìý
An experienced broadcaster, Mark is no stranger to getting up early as he has previously honed his breakfast skills with Danny
Baker on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ London breakfast show.
Ìý
From 29 August 2006 he will front the
Radio Swindon breakfast show every weekday
from 7.00 to 10.00.
Ìý
A delighted Mark says: "I'm really looking forward to joining the breakfast programme where we'll be looking up at the world with a smile.
Ìý
"Everyone who tunes in will get the most up-to-date
news and travel, of course, but I want the breakfast programme
to offer much more than a passive experience for listeners.
Ìý
"Every morning I'll be exploring not just the big stories of the day, but what's
behind them and how they affect people's lives here in Swindon.
Ìý
"I'm naturally curious and, collectively, listeners know much more than I do,
so I'll be inviting them to give me their experiences as we look at what's
going on, where, and why. I'm hoping that I'll have my views challenged through
reasoned dissent and debate."
Ìý
Tony Worgan, Managing Editor, Radio Swindon, says: "Mark
takes his fun seriously, and he's interested in everybody and everything. So
not only can our listeners have a good laugh, but I hope they'll also feel encouraged
to contribute their own points of view and local perspectives on the stories
of the day."

Current breakfast presenter Peter Heaton Jones is moving to Australia - he has dual nationality - to work with the broadcaster ABC.
Ìý
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Swindon broadcasts on 103.6 FM, 1332 MW, digital radio and online.
