Ricky Gervais talks to Jonathan Ross this Friday night on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE
Friday Night With Jonathan Ross -
10.35pm, Friday 8 September on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ ONE
Ìý
Jonathan Ross kicks off a new run of his multi award-winning chat show this Friday.
Ìý
Tonight there's another visit from ubiquitous comedy actor-cum-movie star Ricky Gervais, about to return to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ TWO with a second series of Extras.
Ìý
"I think it's the funniest thing we've done. I never really cared how The Office was received - we really did it for ourselves. [With this new series] we just pretended it was the first time again, really."
Ìý
The series includes guest appearances from David Bowie, Orlando Bloom and Keith Chegwin - "He's amazing" - but Gervais reveals that he was turned down by Keith Harris: "He said he didn't like it, wasn't comfortable with it. People either get it or they don't."
Ìý
Jonathan also welcomes to the show one of Britain's best-loved actresses and national treasure, Julie Walters, whose latest film, Driving Lessons, opens this week.
Ìý
Julie reveals that she is her own harshest critic: "I thought I was dreadful in Educating Rita. I couldn't wait to get out [of the screening] and sit in the toilet. I just remember thinking how ugly I looked."

And Big Brother's Pete and Nikki join Jonathan on the sofa for their first TV interview together, to talk about their BB experience.
Ìý
About their future together, Nikki says: "We'll see. we hate each other really! I'm feeling quite content at the moment. They knew how to push my buttons in the house."
Ìý
And Pete explains that his motive for going into the house was "To go in, sort out awareness of Tourette's, go home and go to bed."
Ìý
The line-up also includes music from The Killers with an exclusive performance of their new single, When You Were Young, live in the studio.
