On demand listening to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio on the internet has reached record levels, with 12.5 million requests logged in September 2006, according to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s latest monthly statistics.

The Archers (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 4) was the most popular on demand programme (listened to after broadcast) on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Player, with 682,304 listens over the month.

Chris Moyles (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 1) received 503,088 requests, taking second place.
Ìý
Live online listening to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 2 and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 3 reached a new peak in September, as the stations clocked up 3.1 million and 475,000 hours respectively.

September also saw a record number of downloads of programmes in the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Download and Podcast Trial - 4.8 million mp3s were downloaded over the course of the month.

Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent saw the biggest percentage increase in downloads (75%), equating to more than a quarter of a million downloads of the programme.

Radio 1's Best of Moyles tops the table of weekly podcasts, with 574,067 monthly downloads, while Russell Brand's ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ 6 Music podcast notched up 140,440 downloads during September.
