ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales subs the bride in new rugby promos
Imagine the scene. A bride's walking down the aisle with her father and, suddenly, a substitution board rises above the congregation. The bride is substituted at the last minute and a voice from the crowd can be heard saying "nice substitution!"

This is exactly what viewers can expect in the first of an innovative new series of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales TV promotions for ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Wales's coverage of the Rugby World Cup.
Ìý
The promos, which are due to be broadcast on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales TV from tomorrow (Thursday 6 September 2007) just ahead of the kick-off of the Rugby World Cup, are the brainchild of the multi award-winning ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales promotions team.
Ìý
"The idea behind the campaign was to accentuate the fact that ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales can offer a level of interactivity that no other broadcaster can offer the rugby fan," explains ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales promotions producer Phil Higginson.
Ìý
"And so to tie in with this we thought about taking some ordinary situations and then putting a rugby spin on them, with one of our rugby presenters or commentators giving their spin on just what happened.
Ìý
"This all helps to accentuate the message that ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales is the place to talk rugby."
Ìý
There are three distinct promos in the series which will play out across the Rugby World Cup. The other two promos are set in an office and an art gallery.
Ìý
The voice-overs for the promos will come from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Wales sports presenter Oliver Hides, respected rugby commentator Gareth Charles and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales sports reporter Dot Davies.
Ìý
"After all, we've all been in situations where we daydream about what would happen if... We've just taken it to the next level," says Higginson.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Wales' coverage of the Rugby World Cup kicks-off on Friday (7 September) with the opening game featuring France v Argentina in Radio Wales Sportstime (6.30pm).
Ìý
Coverage continues throughout the weekend with Radio Wales At The Rugby World Cup with Stephan Garrero reporting from Nantes.
Ìý
Rhod Gilbert and Chris 'Korky' Corcoran will be mingling with the fans and live coverage of all the top action, and there will be plenty of chances for rugby fans to air their views on the game in the Scrum V phone-in with Dot Davies on Sunday (9 September).
Ìý
And viewers need not worry if they've missed any of the build-up to the greatest rugby contest in the world, as ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Wales Sport has compiled a special selection of all the top sport stories of the past seven days available to download in the 7 Days Of Welsh Sport podcast available exclusively at bbc.co.uk/radiowales.
