ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ to show re-run of Calzaghe fight

The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ today announced that the epic Joe Calzaghe v Mikkel Kessler fight that took place last Saturday (3 November) will be re-shown this coming Saturday 10 November at 1.10pm on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ One.

The fight saw Calzaghe stretch his unbeaten record to an incredible 44 fights while Kessler lost his treasured unblemished record at the Millennium Stadium.

In doing so Calzaghe unified the super-middleweight division by adding Kessler's WBA and WBC belts to the WBO crown he has held over 10 years and 21 defences.

Calzaghe said: "I'm delighted that the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ will be showing my fight, it was certainly the best performance in my pro career. It's great that those who missed the fight will now have another chance to see it."

Calzaghe's promoter Frank Warren added: "Saturday night, was for me, the greatest night in my 25 years in boxing and I'm absolutely delighted that the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ will be replaying it this weekend."

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Director of Sport Roger Mosey said: "There has been a tremendous reaction to what was a great fight and we are responding to public demand by making it available on free-to-air television."
