ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Three and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Switch commit to original teen drama


Finding original drama for a younger audience remains a major ambition as ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Drama invites a range of in-house and independent production companies to pitch two new fresh and exciting series for young audiences to be broadcast on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Three and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Switch.

To transmit during Winter 2009, the two pre-watershed series will have a fully integrated multimedia campaign to run alongside the series.

Danny Cohen, Controller, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Three, comments: "Building loyalty with young viewers is crucial to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Three. Developing a slate of returnable, authentic and youthful drama can play a vital role in this."

The series will follow in the footsteps of other recently-commissioned innovative dramas on the channel, which will include Spooks Liberty, P.A.s, Phoo Action, Being Human, Dis/Connected, West 10 LDN, Things I Haven't Told You and Mrs Inbetweeny.

The series will be commissioned by Jane Tranter, Controller, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Fiction.
