Radio Newcastle and Sunderland AFC sign new three-year commentary deal

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle has signed a new three-year commentary deal
with Sunderland AFC.

The tie-up means Radio Newcastle will continue to transmit live
full match commentaries of all Sunderland games until the end of
the 2010-11 season.
Ìý
Commentator Nick Barnes and Sunderland legend Gary Bennett have
formed a popular partnership, covering Sunderland games, home and
away, for the last five seasons and the duo are looking forward to
continuing their coverage of the Black Cats.

Nick said: "The past five seasons have been very memorable for myself and Gary
so it's fantastic to sign up for a further three seasons."

Sunderland AFC's Marketing and Communications Director Lesley
Callaghan said: "We are very pleased to be continuing our
commentary partnership with ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Newcastle and look forward to
working closely with the station over the next three years.
