Is Donald Trump really just a frustrated librarian?
Comedian Miles Jupp knows why the president is upset about a scandalous new publication.
Recent news from the US revealed that former National Security Adviser, John Bolton, has written an explosive tell-all book exposing what it's like to work with Donald Trump.
The White House tried – and failed – to ban publication of The Room Where it Happened, with the president claiming it was "made up of lies and fake stories".
Many around the world have watched the story with interest, including comedian Miles Jupp who, on Breaking the News figured out just why Trump is so upset.
“He’s a misunderstood man,” claimed Miles. ”But that’s because he’s completely incomprehensible.”
“Even the way he’s criticising this Bolton thing. The idea that he’s saying this book is full of lies, but if it’s full of lies then it’s obviously not an issue ... if it was full of truths it would be in contravention of confidentiality laws. It can’t be both."
Miles believes the problem is clear, telling the comedy panel: “Essentially Trump’s got upset because [he] is a book person,".
"He likes cataloguing, he likes categorisation, and it saddens him, I think, as someone who could so easily have ended up being a librarian if life had been slightly different and he hadn’t been burdened by that inheritance that forced him to abandon his dreams.
"He’s just cross that a work of fiction has ended up in the non-fiction section."
