So THAT’s how she does it! The ingenious life hack that helps Nicola Sturgeon cope with wearing stiletto heels for hours on end
9 July 2019
A political TV debate is not the first place you’d expect to encounter potentially life-enhancing fashion advice, but it’s where former leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Kezia Dugdale, made an eye-opening discovery.
How does Nicola stand up for two hours on live TV in those stiletto heels?Kezia Dugdale, former leader of Scottish Labour
During the 2016 election campaign she shared a backstage room with political rival Nicola Sturgeon, leader of the SNP.
She explained on Podlitical, “I used to think, ‘How does Nicola stand up for two hours on live TV in those stiletto heels?’
“I can barely walk in heels let alone wear ones the height of hers!”
But, as the women prepared for the debate to begin, her secret was revealed: she uses mild anaesthetic ointment.
“If you put it on your heels you don’t feel the pain,” said Dugdale. ”Isn’t that an absolutely rocking point?”
