What is the From Dark Till Dawn Prom?

From Dark Till Dawn is a special Late Night Prom which takes place from 11pm to 7am on Friday 8 August at the Royal Albert Hall.

Curated by organist Anna Lapwood, among the performers are Barokksolistene, Bjarte Eike, Pembroke College Chapel Choir, Anastasia Kobekina and Hayato Sumino.

There will be two intervals.

Can I bring a blanket or pillow as it is an overnight concert?

You will not be able to bring blankets or pillows as this is not a sleeping event.

Will I be able to move around the auditorium during the concert?

You will be allocated a specific seat, as per a usual concert or a standing position in the Arena and Gallery. It will therefore not be possible to move around the auditorium whilst the artists are performing. There will be breaks through the evening, where you are free to move as you wish. Please be mindful of the enjoyment of other concert goers as you would at any other ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Prom.

What food and drink will be available throughout the night?

Time at the bars for alcohol will be 1am but a range of food and soft drinks will be available through the night. You can bring your own bottle of water to the event.

Can I leave the auditorium and come back again during the performance?

There will be two intervals throughout the night. If you leave the auditorium you will be able to re-enter at an appropriate break in the music. The Elgar Room will also be available as a ‘stretch out’ area for the audience, if required. Smoking is permitted in the smoking area.

Will there be breaks throughout the concert?

There will be two intervals throughout the night, where audience are free to move as they wish.

Will there be standing Day Promming tickets at this event?

There will be a reduced capacity in the arena for audience comfort, but you will be able to buy Promming tickets in either the arena or gallery.

Is this concert available as part of the whole season Promming pass?

There will be a reduced capacity in the arena for audience comfort so this concert will not be part of the Whole Season or Weekend Promming pass.

What time can I arrive for this event?

The event starts at 11pm. Information on building opening times will be made available closer to the event.

What is the latest time I can enter the building?

Last entry into the building and point of no readmission is 1am.

What is the age restriction?

This event is not recommended for under 5s and all customers aged 14 years or below must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.
