TRNSMT Takeover 2020 - Tips to get those festival feels at home
You all probably know by now that the TRNSMT Festival which was due to take place in Glasgow Green this weekend has been cancelled due to Covid-19. But here at ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scotland we're determined to keep the festival spirit alive.

So we have enlisted the brilliant Edith Bowman to bring you the best highlights from the last three years of the TRNSMT fest with our special TRNSMT Takeover 2020 extravaganza.
Available to watch live on the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Scotland Channel and on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ iPlayer.
So in preparation for the greatest show, here's some tips on how to make the most of the moments and bring the festival feels into comfort of your own home.
Takeover Tip No. 1 - Get Juicy!

Yeah, it can be pricey buying a round of drinks at a festival. But this year you can make your own carnival cocktails and mocktails and you'll save a packet. So why not treat yourself with a summer concoction from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Food page? You'll find a whole host of mouth watering recipes to magnify this musical experience.
Takeover Tip No. 2 - Dress Up!

Bring on the fancy dress festival fun! Go as wild as you want, safe in the knowledge your choice of fancy dress fashion won't come back to haunt you when you're featured on the front of the local advertiser. You might want to warn the neighbours though.
Takeover Tip No. 3 - Make Munchies!

No need to queue for hours, and if you drop your hot dog before taking a bite you know that the kitchen is only in the next room. You don't have to miss your favourite festival foods with these easy recipes.
Takeover Tip No. 4 - Be Prepared!

Weather and wifi permitting you might want to take the opportunity to watch the highlights outside. Enhance the experience with some fresh air and bird song... but as with all festivals best to check the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ weather site in advance.
Takeover Tip No. 5 - Don't Forget the Bunting!

Prepare your pad, put up a tent and roll out the bunting. Get creative with festival decorations, just enlist the help of some clever kids. You'll get the job done much quicker. CBeebies will show you how.
Takeover Tip No. 6 - Get Social!

Get selfie-tastic, share your memories of this brilliant music festival. Tell us how you're recreating the TRNSMT Takeover 2020 Festival Experience!
Takeover Tip No. 7 - Be thankful of the comforts!

This should be an easy one... it's your house after all. You know where the facilities are and most importantly, you know what condition they're in. But in preparation you can always ensure the toilette is smelling fragrant ahead of the event.
Takeover Tip No. 8 - Get Up High!

Yes, that's right! Find a good vantage point. Climbing onto a friend's shoulders is part of the festival fun. But as we're bringing this experience direct to you in the comfort of your own homes, you might prefer to relive the experience from your sofa... or not!
