Have you ever wondered if a career in radio and music at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ could be for you, or never imagined it might be? ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Open Music is here to help you explore that possibility.

ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Open Music brings together creatives, musicians, radio and technical producers from all genres, styles and backgrounds from across the UK to the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½; designed to support you to build new skills, spark fresh ideas and explore collaboration within orchestral and classical music broadcasting at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.

Ahead of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Open Music Scheme opening for applications in January 2026 we’ll be running a series of Insight Days across the UK and we’d love to see you there. The Insight Days will offer a chance to:

• Visit a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ base and find out more about careers in radio and music
• Meet and network with inspirational industry professionals
• Find out about the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Open Music scheme and other early careers opportunities, plus get tips for applying
• In some locations, develop hands-on skills in technical and radio production workshops.

We will be running Insight Days at the below locations:

• 04/12/2025 – ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ The Mailbox, Birmingham
• 13/01/2026 – ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Pacific Quay, Glasgow
• 22/01/2026 – ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ MediaCityUK, Salford
• 04/02/2026 – ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ London Broadcasting House, London
• 23/02/2026 – ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Cardiff Central Square, Cardiff

We will also be running an Insight Day in Belfast but the date for this is TBC.

If you would like to join us and find out more please complete the expression of interest form to let us know which Insight Day you would be interested in attending.

There are limited spaces available and you can only apply for one Insight Day, so please ensure that you select the location closest to you and that you are available to attend on the listed date. The timings for the Insight days will vary but please make sure you are available 1100-1600. Exact timings will be confirmed once places are allocated.

Please ensure you complete the form at least 2 weeks before the Insight Day, expressions of interest made after this may not be considered.
