The Tune into Nature Music Prize 2026

The Tune into Nature Music Prize is a prize for musicians and singer/songwriters aged 18-30 and resident in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man whose work demonstrates a true collaboration with nature.

It’s organised by The Nature Connectedness Research Group at the University of Derby with Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Voice for Nature, EarthPercent and Sounds Right, a global music initiative to recognise the value of nature.

They are looking for entries of a short original piece of music, of any genre or style, that:

Celebrates the human-nature relationship
Collaborates with nature through the inclusion of sounds of the natural world – from birdsong to rainfall and the sounds of the soil
Is no longer than five minutes and has not been commercially released at any point prior to 31 March 2026

12 entries will be shortlisted, from which one winner will be chosen.

The winning entry will receive:

£500
The option to have the track featured as a new release on NATURE’s profile on major streaming platforms as part of the Sounds Right initiative, benefitting from promotion and marketing and featured on a special playlist, helping to raise funds for nature restoration and protection
