Coming out to your parents can be a daunting experience, but what’s it like for a parent to come out to their children?

Mornings with Kaye Adams heard from a woman who, after being married to a man for 24 years, divorced him and later married another woman. Kaye also heard that the caller’s ex-husband married another man, meaning that both parents were now in same-sex relationships.

The caller described how her worry about coming out was alleviated by the reaction of her two eldest children.

“So what’s the problem? You are still our mum.”
