Seamus Heaney, whose funeral has taken place in Dublin, was described as having all the attributes of a great poet. Perhaps the greatest achievement of the Nobel Literature Laureate, in a hard prosaic world, was reminding us that poetry is not a guilty pleasure or an optional extra but something many of us want and need.
