Organist John Scott Whiteley plays Sonata IV (BWV 528) at the Church of St Jacobi in Hamburg, Germany.

Organist John Scott Whiteley plays Sonata IV (BWV 528). The fourth of Bach's six transcendental sonatas, believed to have been written to extend the organ technique of his son Wilhelm Friedemann. Filmed at the Church of St Jacobi in Hamburg, Germany, the programme employs a variety of unusual filming techniques to give a dramatic interpretation of the music, including using miniature cameras on the inside of the organ to show the mechanical works, and aerial shots from helium-filled balloons.
