Two families, the Halsey-Halls from suburbia and the Elias family from the countryside, volunteer to exchange lives for a week, swapping homes, pets, jobs, schools, diet and even house rules. Steve Halsey-Hall has to break up some rocks in the Elias's barn, while Piers Elias has to find a prospective buyer for a site that Steve bought in Sheffield. The mums are also struggling with each other's food shopping.
