Five would-be explorers trek 200 miles across frozen Arctic wastes to reach Temple Mountain. Teamwork goes out of the window when the group face their first night on the ice.

Ben Fogle leads a team of five would-be explorers on the ultimate challenge: to cover 200 miles across the frozen wastes of Spitzbergen, just 80 miles from the Arctic Circle, to reach the heights of the magnificent Temple Mountain.

To get to the mountain, the team will have to travel across some of the most treacherous terrain known to man, endure sub-zero temperatures and camp out in the icy wilderness. Pushed to their mental and physical limits, this journey will change their lives forever, if they make it to the end.

Teamwork goes out of the window when the group face their first night on the ice. Totally disorganised, everyone is left cold and hungry in the early hours of the morning. Spurred on by the prospect of a night in the warm, the team attempt a nine-hour cross-country ski. But after her hundredth fall of the day, lady of leisure Rachel threatens to quit.
