As the volunteers enter their final week, they face a testing period of abstinence and reflection during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
As the participants enter the final week, they have to cope with the self-imposed privations of Ramadan - the most holy period in the Islamic calendar. As well as keeping to the intense daily routine of prayer, silent contemplation and spiritually uplifting work on the land, the group must now also fast from sunrise to sunset.
