Jean-Christophe Novelli
Celebrity chefs aim to prove home-cooked food beats takeaway. Jean-Christophe Novelli tries to convince Enfield residents to start cooking.
With Jean-Christophe Novelli and Masterchef runner-up Dean Edwards.
Frenchman Jean-Christophe Novelli comes from the gourmet capital of the world. He is convinced that food made with fresh ingredients at home will always taste better than a takeaway. With that in mind, he heads to Enfield to take on local takeaway Thai Jasmine.
Two people who regularly order in from there are accountant Kate Smith and sales manager Michelle Dupoy. These young professionals are too exhausted after a long day at the office to bother with the kitchen, and would rather 'kick back' with a glass of wine and a Thai chicken curry .
Can Jean-Christophe persuade them to change their ways and head for the kitchen instead of the phone when they are hungry? And will he succeed in beating the takeaway on price, speed and taste?
