Amateur cooks compete for the opportunity to go into business with chef and restaurateur Raymond Blanc. It is the grand final, and Raymond must decide which couple will become his partners and open their very own restaurant with his financial support and expertise. To help him make the decision he takes the finalists to his home town of Besancon in France, where they have less than 48 hours to open their own restaurant for one night and introduce the French to British cuisine.
