The second episode in the series where oenophile Oz Clarke takes novice James May on a on a month-long trip around California to learn about wine. The two visit Paso Robles, home to a group of winemakers who pride themselves on their fresh and exciting varieties. Among others, they meet the man who planted the first Syrah grape in America, but the highlight is meeting a group of 'renegade' winemakers, who invite Oz and James on a tour of the vineyards and then to taste some of their wares.
