Update on the 1980s series about a group of doctors just starting out on their careers. Dr Sarah Martindale spent three years gaining extra skills in Australia, but having returned to Britain in the expectation of a consultant's job, finds herself the victim of the NHS's cash problem. Sarah and her family want to settle down for good, and disillusionment is setting in. Should she stay here in the hope that a permanent job will eventually be advertised, or take the offers to return to Australia?
