After their electorial defeat last year, France's Socialist Party is trying to regain the initiative. Pierre Moscovici is the Party's foreign affairs spokesman.

After their defeat in Presidential elections last year, France's Socialists are wondering how best to regain the initiative from Nicholas Sarkozy. Some of the Socialist Party's leading figures like Bernard Kouchner have even been persuaded to join Mr Sarkozy's government. Even in his private life Mr Sarkozy is making news. Pierre Moscovici is the Socialist Party's foreign affairs spokesman. Zeinab Badawi asks him if his party has become irrelevant.
