Documentary series following the men and women who dedicate their lives to looking after the National Parks in Pembrokeshire, Snowdonia and Brecon. A fifth of Wales is designated parkland - a breathing space for the people. Although these beautiful landscapes seem rugged and indestructible, they need care if they're to survive. But who are the guardians that safeguard their future and protect them from threats, both man-made and environmental?
In this first episode, wardens Jon and Sam confront a gang of off-road bikers in the Beacons, ex-ballet dancer Paul prepares for the gas pipeline as it approaches the environmentally sensitive Mynydd Myddfai, farmers gather for the gruelling sheep collection off the Carneddau mountains and in Pembrokeshire, Ian revels in his beautiful surroundings.
