Six women each live for a month with six different tribes. Single mother Karen stays with the Waorani, a tribe isolated deep within the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle.
Six women each live for a month with six different tribes all over the world. Forty-six-year-old Karen Morris-Lanz stays with the Waorani, one of the world's most isolated tribes, deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon jungle. Once known as 'the savages', they have a fearsome reputation. But behind this formidable façade is a way of life unchanged for centuries. Ten years ago Karen, a mother of two, walked out of a violent marriage. Now she is a successful business woman and a workaholic. But she has invested so much time in work and her children that she has lost sight of just who she is. As she immerses herself in tribal life, hunting wild boar and swimming in piranha-infested rivers, the tribe believe they may have found Karen what she really needs - a Waorani husband.
