Radio 3 New Generation Artists the Aronowitz Ensemble are joined by soprano Elizabeth Watts for a performance of Gabriel Faure's song cycle La bonne chanson, a setting of poems by Paul Verlaine.

The Ensemble also perform Richard Strauss's string sextet from his last opera, Capriccio, and give the world premiere of a ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ commission - a new string sextet written specially for the Aronowitz Ensemble by Welsh composer Huw Watkins, with a title inspired by a phrase from the Philip Larkin poem Sad Steps.
