From Watford Colosseum, Petroc Trelawny presents the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CO in English light music. Works by David Lyon and Ernest Tomlinson, plus Haydn Wood: Violin Concerto, with Tasmin Little.

A concert given by the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Concert Orchetra focusing on the theme of English light music, past and present. With a work by contemporary composer David Lyon, followed by one from Ernest Tomlinson, president of the Light Music Society and who was an instrumental figure in the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Light Music Festivals in the late 1950s and 1960s. Violinist Tasmin Little, a champion of British music, joins the orchestra for Haydn Wood's heroic violin concerto, written in 1928.
