My River
Using the visual metaphor of the River Wye and that of the River Somme, young children from Llandogo Primary School in Monmouth remember their relatives who fought in WWI.
Short films about war come in many guises and the overall theme of this piece celebrates change in the landscape and in mankind.
Using the visual metaphor of the local River Wye and that of the River Somme, young children from Llandogo Primary School in Monmouth remember their relatives who fought in WWI. With original archive from the Imperial War Museum, the poem My River reflects their appreciation of what they have today and tells us to 'be thankful that nothing stays the same'.
